When submitting articles or content to The Seattle Raptor News Service, I, the writer or user, agree to and understand the following questions and answers.

Question: As a writer or user, what are my responsibilities when submitting content to The Seattle Raptor for publication?

I, the writer or user, understand that The Seattle Raptor is in no way liable for any original material that I post or write on this website. You further acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible and liable for any content that you post or seed on the Site and for any infringement or other liability that may result.

I, the writer or user, understand that I may not post material that I do not own the copyright to, and that I accept full liability for the consequences if I post copyrighted material that I do not own or am licensed to use.

I, the writer or user, understand that invented names should be used in all satirical stories or articles I submit, except in cases where public figures are being satirized.

I, the writer or user, understand that any content I submit to be published will not be intended to libel a person.

I, the writer or user, understand The Seattle Raptor retains full rights to the article to be used in future electronic, print or any other type of publication. I also understand that I retain full ownership and reprint rights to use as I wish.

I, the writer or user, understand The Seattle Raptor does not actively edit any article submissions or comments submitted for publication.

I, the writer or user, understand that all content posted on, transmitted through, or linked from this news service, are the sole responsibility of the person from whom such content originated. More specifically, the writer or user is entirely responsible for all content that is posted, emailed or otherwise made available via the The Seattle Raptor News Service. You understand that The Seattle Raptor does not control, and is not responsible for content made available through the service, and that by using the service, you may be exposed to content that is offensive, indecent, inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise objectionable. The Seattle Raptor news service and content available through the service may contain links to other websites, which are completely independent of The Seattle Raptor. The Seattle Raptor News Service consists mainly of alternative and satirical writers. Article topics include local news, national news, world news, and opinons and more. To get an idea of the type of articles users submit, please review the articles and stories currently published on The Seattle Raptor.

Question: Should I send in a writer bio?

Yes. The Seattle Raptor encourages writers and readers to include a brief bio at the end of their article. With your article submission, please include a two to three sentence bio along with your email address so readers may contact you directly.

Question: Will I get paid for submitting an article?

The Seattle Raptor does not provide payment for article submissions. The news service does provide broad Internet exposure for your business or writing career and a place to exercise your creative energy and passion for The Seattle Raptor experience.

Question: What if I want my article's edited before being published? Does The Seattle Raptor edit articles?

The Seattle Raptor does not actively edit articles. Articles may be formatted properly before being published to the site, but the words and content are not edited. If a writer or user would like to have their article edited before being published, they should use the "portfolio" section of the news service which allows other user's in the community to make comments on their article.
